The “Halloween Kiss”

I had no idea she was going to kiss me, but she regretted it the second it happened!

Crystal and I dressed up to hit the town on Halloween, one of our favorite holidays to be able to play and have fun as a couple. We weren’t married yet, but we were engaged and I loved being with her. She was a blast!

Her mom loaned me some pants that looked like they’d just come off the windows to a 1970’s hippy shack. They were amazing, stretchy, and while I do have some “chicken-stick” looking legs, I felt pretty sexy! I put on a 2 foot tall black wig and went as “Pootie Tang”. Someone no one would ever guess, but I owned that energy! 🙂

Crystal was of course stunning, she could never be anything but gorgeous, even in a paper bag, she would have been smokin hot.

At some point she had to use the restroom and she always preferred me to “stand guard” at bars. I didn’t mind, I enjoyed being her king and protector. That day however, shit got weird.

As I stood beside the bathroom door with my arms folded, I heard a girl scream in front of me.

As I turned to see what the commotion was about, I saw her jump up from a crouched pose and then back down again? She was staring right at me! I had just caught the end of her reaction to my outfit. I was so flattered! She looked at me like a damn lion looks at its prey and she looked HUNGRY. Seriously, this never happened to me and I was embarrassingly flattered, so I smiled back at her. She was like those wind up toys that someone had wound up a little too tight… the moment I smiled, she sprang into action. A literal sprint right at me!

In shock, I just stood in awe as this girl ran at me like we were in some old Axe body spray commercial. When she got to about 2 feet in front of me, she jumped onto me and started to kiss me! No, I didn’t kiss her back, I was trippin’, this was next level movie shit going down right now. My thoughts were immediately interrupted as the girl was ripped from my torso and thrown to the ground like a rag doll. WTF?

Looking up, there was Crystal. She looked a little crazy and I was SURE she was going to kick this girl’s ass. I remember thinking “damn, that was hot!” LOL. Crystal screamed, cursed, pointed and let that girl know, this man was taken!

This was the first time anyone had ever “fought for me” in my life and I remember how good it felt to actually feel desired. I mean, I had dated of course, but to feel truly desired and worthy of being defended by my girl? She was the only one that had ever done that, and this was not the first time. I’ll tell you more about the first time later, but here’s the take away and whats important for you in your relationship. How many are ready to just “walk away” or “run away”? We were old school King & Queen energy! After her passing I’ve been told by so many people how much they looked up to our energy as a couple. That energy comes from being willing to fight for your partner in every aspect of your life.

Are you willing to fight for your man? Are you willing to give him the benefit of the doubt and to get his back? Or are you waiting for the next bus to throw him under? Your man wants to know that he matters enough that you would actually fight for him. That his love, support and male energy is worthy of you taking a stance to defend it. Whether it’s a crazy drunk girl or anything else, it doesn’t matter. Be ready and willing to fight for your love!

I had zero desire to be with the girl that jumped me, and thankfully Crystal knew that. We both put in the work in our relationship to let the other always know.. You come first!
